these are my unedited notes…
We are hearing not just leaders with great cadence, rhythm and volume. We are having leaders coming with a message of God.
Hebrews 11
The Promises of God – Partial Fulfillment
What do you do when the promises of God are partially fulfilled?
vs.13
(Shunamite woman of the Old Testament – Elisha) 2 Kings.
The first thing that Elisha tried is a stick on the head, then he tries prayer, and the third thing he tried we should leave it in the Old Testament, then he just pacing, and the fifth time he tried the lying thing one more time.
“the bible would like us to note” that sneezy wakes up after 7th sneeze and the fifth attempt.
2 Cor 1:20 – For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen.
Sometimes the promise is so big we make plans. Those pale in comparison with the promises of God. It is very evident that God has made some profound and overt promises in Jesus, and if you are a follower of Jesus you BANK on those promises.
You believe and declare on the promises of God.What do you do when those promises of God are only partially fulfilled.
Does my believing cease, when I do not get my desired results. We know what the book says, but how do we deal with it when God doesn’t show up?
My experiences do not shape my Theology. My Theology shapes my experience.
Whether living or dying, I will do it according to faith. I will die a believer not a doubter.
Gods purpose is imperative, people are valuable, but generational. Who will replace us. It is important to note who is the promiser and the promisee. This was God’s idea, we are not the promiser….God made it the emphasis is on him.
We have no power to convert the human soul, unless the promises of God come to pass we are just making noise, staying busy and playing Church.
2 Corinthians 1:20 – All the promises are Yes and AMEN! Jesus is the SUM and SUBSTANCE of Gods promises, because he is both the fulfiller and fulfillment.
